GROßSTADTSAFARI, originally created for Oslo Dance Ensemble, will premiere in Reykjavik with Iceland Dance Company on March 4th. The revived version involves new costume design by Hrafnhildu​r Holmgeirsd​ottir.

NRK has now finished a high-cost TV-production of THE FOUR SEASONS. First broadcast on national TV was Sunday 6th of February with a reprise on Saturday 12th. Full view is available

THE OUTSKIRTS, Jo Strømgren’s second creation for Göteborg Opera Ballet in Sweden is due on Saturday 26th of February. The production is a double bill shared with Stijn Celis. More info HERE.

After raving reviews and full houses earlier this year, the Trøndelag Teater production is now in rehearsal at Oslo Nye Teater for a 35 show run with a new cast. The play is a mockery of self-indulgent people and puts some less fortunate contemporary tendencies on display. If a drama infected by richness, boredom, and abundance of luxury problems should be credible, it may perhaps have to be Norwegian. Premiere 13th of January at Centralteatret venue in Oslo.

Norrdans launches their new tour program on Nov 18th, featuring Jo Strømgren’s KVART along with PÅ NORRBOTTEN by Mats Ek. Jo Strømgren danced in this Ek piece in his early career, being this possibly an important influence on his choreographic work to come. A small circle completed, so to speak.
